Dr. Jimmy D. McCamey, Jr. has over 20 years’ experience in clinical practice, mental health counseling, clinical social work services, assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults and families.
Dr. McCamey has over a decade of leadership and management experience in residential treatment, psychiatric and community base treatment facilities and higher education. In addition to providing mental health counseling and supervision for master level clinicians, Dr. McCamey has taught undergraduate and graduate social work, psychology and mental health counseling for over a decade.
Dr. McCamey is a tenured Associate Professor of Social Work and Mental Health Counseling and has published extensively in the area of mental health, poverty, social welfare, sexual abuse and sexual offender, substance abuse and politics.
Dr. McCamey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work-all by Examination (DCSW). He is also state certified (GA) as a DUI Clinical Evaluator, DUI Treatment Provider, and DUI & Driver Improvement School Director/Owner/Instructor. He is certified for PRIME for Life (PRI-Version 9), PRIME Solutions (Version 1.0-ASAM Substance Abuse Treatment) and Driving Educators of Georgia (D.E.O.G.)
